KozPawz training is a no frills service that caters specifically
to you and your dogs needs. No two people learn exactly the
same way and neither do dogs. Training methods should suite
your dogs temperament. KozPawz offers a customized approach to
training. Whether you just got a new puppy or need to teach your
older dog some new skills/break some bad habits, KozPawz
provides training and behavior modification programs at all
levels with guaranteed results. We offer solutions to various
problems.

Puppy Training
We will meet with you for FREE to explain the different training
methods we use and figure out what would work best for you and
your new puppy. We will also cover housebreaking and
recommended training collars (for use when the puppy is about
four months or older). We will go over the subject of
separation anxiety and how it can be avoided, destructive
chewing, and any other questions you might have.
It is very important in the early stages of a dogs life to socialize
them. A lot of people are not aware that you are training and conditioning
a dog at every turn from the very beginning. Socializing a dog
when its young can eliminate a plethora of behavior problems down
the road. Group classes are great for this purpose.
But you can socialize your dog for free too! Just by taking
your puppy to the park, the coffee shop, having strangers love and
rub on him; other animals come and sniff and play with him;
these simple outings will help your puppy grow up to become a well
rounded, well behaved dog.
Basic Obedience
Our basic obedience course gives you and your dog the foundation
skills needed to help you communicate and live harmoniously in
day-to-day life. After six classes your dog will SIT, DOWN,
STAY, COME and HEEL on leash when asked just once. We will also
cover how to greet people and the no jumping (OFF) command. We
meet once a week for an hour. During this course we can deal
with any behavior problems that you might be having. We work
around your schedule and customize a course to fit you and your
dogs needs. This course is for dogs that are 4 months old & up.
Behavior Problems
We can help your dog get over a number of behavior problems
ranging from aggression to sibling rivalry, shyness and more.
Behavior problems are dealt with on case-by-case bases.
Depending on the severity of the problem, we will include it in
the price of training.* Oftentimes severe behavior problems can
mean the difference between having to re-home your dog or not.

All dogs that have been adopted from a shelter will get $50
deducted from the total cost of the training fee.
